PARK CITY, Utah — Artti Aigro will join a cooperative training and coaching initiative with USA Ski Jumping as both prepare for the upcoming Olympic season and beyond.
Aigro, one of Estonia’s top ski jumping athletes and a consistent presence on the World Cup circuit, will spend extended periods training alongside Team USA athletes and staff both in Europe and the United States. The partnership reflects the continued growth and international collaboration within the U.S. program as the team builds toward the next Olympic Winter Games
The connection between Aigro and USA Ski Jumping has developed naturally over recent seasons through the U.S. team’s close working relationship with the Norwegian program. As part of USA Ski Jumping’s collaboration with Team Norway, athletes and staff have regularly shared training environments, camps, and competitive periods, creating a strong existing relationship between Aigro and the U.S. athletes and coaches.
“What I appreciate most about Artti is not only his athletic ability, but also the person he is,” said Tore Sneli, USA Ski Jumping Men’s Head Coach. “He is respectful, easy to work with, and someone who contributes positively both on and off the hill. Those qualities are extremely important when building a strong team culture. I believe this is a great opportunity for both Artti and USA Ski Jumping. His presence will strengthen our daily training environment, and I look forward to supporting his continued development as he works toward the next stage of his career.”
Aigro has represented Estonia at multiple World Championships and Olympic Winter Games and continues to establish himself as one of the strongest athletes competing outside the traditional powerhouse nations in ski jumping. His experience competing consistently at the World Cup level will provide valuable daily training opportunities for the U.S. athletes while also giving Aigro access to a strong and collaborative high-performance environment.
“I am super excited to start working with USA Ski Jumping,” said Aigro. “I’ve known the team already for a few years and I believe that the hard work they put in the system works. Many thanks to the people who made this collaboration possible!”
This partnership reflects the progress USA Ski Jumping has made in recent years, earning growing respect internationally for its coaching, athlete development, and collaborative approach to high-performance sport. It also demonstrates the confidence that international athletes and federations have in the program’s training environment and long-term vision as it continues to build momentum toward the future.
