USA Ski Jumping is proud to announce the promotion of Lauren E. Borowski, MD to Chief Medical Officer, where she will oversee medical operations and athlete care for both the men’s and women’s teams.
Dr. Borowski has served as the Head Team Physician for the U.S. Men’s Ski Jumping Team since 2020, playing a critical role in supporting athletes through World Cup competition and the Olympic Games. She was part of the team staff at both the 2022 Winter Olympics and the 2026 Winter Olympics, bringing valuable experience from the sport’s highest stage. In her new role, she will lead a unified approach to medical care across the entire program, working closely with athletes, coaches, and staff to ensure consistent, high-level support at every stage of training and competition.

Expanding her role to support both teams is a natural step forward as we continue to build a stronger, more integrated program.”

“It has been the honor of my career to serve as Chief Medical Officer and Medical Director for USA Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined. During my nearly two-decade tenure, I have had the privilege of caring for our incredible athletes while building lifelong relationships within the ski jumping and nordic combined communities. I am deeply grateful for the trust placed in me and step away with the utmost confidence that Dr. Lauren Borowski will assume this role with the experience, dedication, and commitment to provide the highest level of medical care to help our athletes flourish. Over the past six years as Head Physician for the U.S. Men’s Ski Jumping Team, Lauren has demonstrated exceptional professionalism and care, and I have no doubt she will continue to lead with excellence. A board-certified physician in both family medicine and sports medicine, Dr. Borowski is a primary care sports medicine specialist at NYU Langone Health. She brings extensive experience working with elite athletes, with a focus on injury prevention, recovery, and long-term performance.
