The world is changing right now and so are the small businesses we hold dear. Our goal is to help these businesses now and rejoice on the other side.
This piece will highlight our athlete’s and staff’s favorite businesses in ski jumping towns across America- while also providing info on how to support these businesses through the current situation.
As a small non profit, USA Nordic understands the work that goes into each and every one of the businesses listed below. We applaud their tenacity and celebrate their dedication towards each community served.
On tap for today, our favorite local breakfast & coffee!
Breakfast
The Shack (Steamboat Springs, CO): “This is my favorite breakfast joint in Steamboat Springs, The Shack has had tasty breakfast choices all my life. This is the place locals go back to again and again for consistently good food. My go to is the Hobo Special with a pancake on the side. Delicious.” – Jasper Good (2018 Olympian)
Five5eeds (Park City, UT):
“Try it once you’ll be hooked. Brunch.” – Nina Lussi (National Team Athlete)
Coffee
Hugo Coffee Roasters (Park City, UT):
“Whenever I have a meeting and want to get away from the office, Hugo is my go-to. It’s right below the ski jumps and nordic trails, has tons of space, natural light, and large tables for a productive group setting.” – Bill Demong (2010 Olympic Champion, Executive Director USA Nordic)
“I’ve spent so much time at this establishment over the last year, all the baristas know my order. A double espresso and one donut. Sure I can make espresso at home, but those donuts I could never replicate. If they have blueberry, that’s a no brainer. Second choice is the classic white frosting with rainbow sprinkles. I miss Hugo dearly.” – Ben Berend (Marketing Manager)
