Tate Frantz impressed with a consistent performance, securing 10th place in both individual competitions. Kevin Bickner also had a standout moment, earning his first World Cup points in over four years with a 24th-place finish on Sunday. The team heads to Ruka, Finland, this weekend. Jason Colby will step in to make his World Cup debut this season, while Urlaub takes the weekend off.
Women’s Ski Jumping
Josie Johnson, Paige Jones, Sam Macuga, and Annika Belshaw all represent the United States at the Ski Jumping World Cup in Lillehammer, Norway to start the season. Jones had a solid performance, qualifying for both individual events and advancing to the second round on Sunday, where she finished in 29th place. Belshaw also qualified for both days of competition, while Johnson earned a spot on Sunday. Both Belshaw and Johnson came close to breaking into the second round, showing great promise for the season ahead. The women’s team will focus on training over the coming weeks as they prepare for their next competition in China, scheduled for December 13-15.
