Park City, Utah (January 28, 2025) – U.S. Ski & Snowboard is proud to announce the selection of nine elite ski jumpers who will represent the United States at the 2025 FIS Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Lake Placid, New York, from Feb. 11-16, 2025.
The team features standout athletes from the U.S. Ski Jumping Team, including Tate Frantz, Jason Colby, and Josie Johnson. Frantz is entering the championships following a groundbreaking season, having started with two top-10 finishes in Lillehammer, Norway, and consistently placing in the top 15 on the Men’s World Cup Circuit. Notably, he finished 14th overall in the prestigious Four Hills Tournament. Colby achieved a personal best by finishing 28th in Ruka, Finland, earning his first World Cup points. Colby had a collarbone injury during training in Wisła, Poland, earlier this winter. After undergoing surgery, Colby is now set to make his return to competition. Johnson returns to the FIS Junior World Championships after securing a 9th place finish last year in Planica, Slovenia, and has consistently placed in the top 10 this season at Intercontinental Cups.
“We are thrilled to have such a talented group of athletes representing the U.S. at the Junior World Championships,” said Anders Johnson, Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined Sports Director. “Their dedication and hard work have earned them this opportunity, and we are excited to see them compete on home soil in Lake Placid.”
