For the second day in a row Oberwiesenthal, Germany puts USA Nordic’s Tara Geraghty-Moats on the podium, this time on the top. This historic event marks the inaugural women’s Nordic Combined Summer Grand Prix, a Gundersen, HS 106, 4.5 Km.
Geraghty-Moats is 25 yrs. old and from West Fairlee, VT who skis out of the New York Ski Education Foundation (NYSEF) Club.
Tara said about her first place finish, “I had never jumped here before and I’ve obviously never competed in Nordic Combined before. The second day I feel like everything came together, I felt much more on top of things on the ski jump and was rewarded with a little bit easier of a ski so I didn’t have to fight so hard to be on the podium.”
The same event found the young Sprint team of Jasper Good and Ben Loomis in 12th place and each of them scoring their first Individual top 30.
