(March 16th, 2025) – The annual Raw Air Tournament was this weekend in Norway, with competitions held at Holmenkollen in Oslo and the iconic ski flying hill in Vikersund. The team delivered solid performances across both venues.
Holmenkollen (Oslo) – Men’s Competition
All five American athletes—Tate Frantz, Jason Colby, Erik Belshaw, Kevin Bickner, and Andrew Urlaub—qualified on Thursday, earning their spots in the competition. Frantz and Colby advanced to the second round, securing Top-30 finishes at 25th and 29th place. Urlaub placed 38th, Belshaw 43rd, and Bickner 48th.
Holmenkollen (Oslo) – Women’s Competition
Due to the cancellation of qualifications, all female athletes went straight into the first round. Josie Johnson was the sole American to score points, finishing 28th. Paige Jones placed 36th, and Annika Belshaw finished 40th.
Vikersund – Ski Flying
On Friday, the men’s competition shifted to Vikersund for ski flying. Frantz impressed in qualifications, finishing 25th to earn a spot in Saturday’s main event.
Saturday brought challenging wind conditions, leading to multiple holds in the second round. Frantz delivered two strong jumps, finishing the day in 24th place.
Final Day – Vikersund
Sunday’s qualification round was canceled, sending the men straight into competition. Frantz continued his consistent performance, once again advancing to the second round and finishing 27th overall for the day. His efforts secured him 19th place in the overall Raw Air Tournament standings. Colby and Bickner finished 40th and 43rd.
