World Cup – Four Hills Tournament: Oberstdorf, Germany
The opening event of the Four Hills Tournament concluded on Sunday for the men, with Casey Larson, Tate Frantz, and Kevin Bickner all advancing to the competition. The tournament utilizes a knock-out format in the first round, creating head-to-head matchups based on qualification standings.Larson, who qualified in 50th place, faced Austria’s Daniel Tschofenig in the opening round. Frantz secured 19th in qualification and was paired with Valentin Foubert of France, while Bickner, in 21st place, competed against Norway’s Fredrik Villumstad.Both Frantz and Bickner delivered strong opening jumps, winning their matchups and progressing to the second round, where they ranked 13th and 14th. At the end of the second round, Frantz finished 19th overall, with Bickner close behind in 22nd.
Looking ahead to this week, the men head to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, for the second stop of the Four Hills Tournament. Decker Dean will join the team at this stage and stay with them through the remainder of the tournament. Meanwhile, the women will also compete in Garmisch for the opening stop of the Two Nights Tour before traveling to Oberstdorf, Germany, for the second event.
Continental Cup – Engelberg, Switzerland
Decker Dean continued his campaign on the Continental Cup circuit over the weekend, competing in Engelberg, Switzerland. Demonstrating consistency, he delivered solid performances, finishing 34th in both days of competition.
